Procrastinating

Why is it that whenever I walk into the kitchen and look at the pile of dishes in the sink and the full dishwasher, I always start thinking about doing something else? Anything else sounds good to me at that point.

I completely understand the procrastination. It is overwhelming. I am that way with laundry too!

It's the same reason I look at the laundry and decide I have enough clothes to wear. . . for now. When you run out of clothes or dishes, your motivation changes a little. Or else you go to the mall for dinner and buy new clothes for tomorrow. :) I think I'm off to the mall now.

I like to start heating water for tea and then unload only for as long as it takes for the water to heat. I usually get the whole thing done in that time, although I don't HAVE to. I can load it LATER, and now it's time for a cup. This game helps a little! :-)

Good idea mom! I liked your trick of setting the timer and having us do as much work as we could in a short amount of time. You are a tricky one! ;0)
