Lately we (I) have had a bad case of cabin fever. Since we only have one car now I have been feeling really stuck. We walk to the park when it's not too hot and every once in a while we make the trek down to the local shopping center.
The good thing is that we have a free shuttle service in our city that goes to all of the places that I can't go by car! I put off using the trolley for a while because the last time we went the ride home took way longer than I had anticipated and the bus was hot and bumpy.... This time I calculated the route better so that we wouldn't get stuck on the long way back.
We left the house at 9:00 to get to the 10:30 story hour. Since we had some time to kill I got to sip a cup of coffee while Anders ran around the gorgeous civic center property.
We found a bunch of rolley polley bugs and that kept him busy for a while too. The story time was great and after that we rode the escalator at the Barnes and Noble a few times.
Then it was time for lunch at Pick Up Stix and then back to the trolley stop to head home for nap.
It really was a good day and a huge relief to figure out the bus schedule. We'll be using it a lot this summer.

What a fun day and a lovely civic center. I'm glad you had a nice adventure and got the trolley system figured out. It looks like a good time was had by all.
We sure enjoyed Anders' party today! Travel Town is the perfect location for a three year old boy's party.
